When it comes to the poker world there are tons of poker pros but a few poker faces really stand out from the others. Many of these legends play for some of the larger online poker sites such as Full Tilt Poker and Poker Stars. While there are many poker pros from all over the world, here are some of my favorites.

Doyle Brunson, widely known as one of the leaders of Texas Hold’em, was playing long before Poker became so popular. The hours I have spent reading about him and watching him play have shown me that he really is what poker is all about. With several WSOP wins under his belt and over 50 years of experience, Doyle has earned a placed in the Poker Hall of Fame. He was voted the #1 most influential player in the world of poker and I do agree that he is truly one of the best.

Daniel Negreanu is my favorite player of all time. While I admire many of the poker pros, he has always stood out from the crowd. His sense of humor and just the way he plays keeps me glued to the TV. He had his first wins in 1997 when playing in the World Poker Finals. He has many poker accomplishments including World Series of Poker bracelets, WPT titles and numerous victories. Daniel is known as “Kid Poker” and has had over 100 cash finishes. He is well known for his read on other players even when others find it impossible. At only 35 Daniel has definitely put his mark on the Poker World and will continue doing so as one of PokerStars biggest pros.

Joe Hachem won his first WSOP main event in 2005 and has taken the poker world by storm. The Australian player has a knack for slow playing only to swoop in and steal people’s stacks throughout the game. His big win happened with one of the worst hands in poker, a 7-3 off suit. Luckily for him the board came 654 giving him a straight that would eventually help lead to his victory of 7.5 million dollars. As one of the PokerStars pros, he has a knack for coming out on top no matter what he’s been dealt.

Vanessa Rousso, also known as Lady Maverick, is one of the best female players in the world. She has been earning money as a poker pro since 2005 and leaving the fans in suspense with her talents. She has earned several million dollars so far in her poker career and placing in tournaments such as the WSOP. Being a female player in what has been considered a man’s game may not always be easy but I don’t see Vanessa budging anytime soon. She has been keeping PokerStars happy since she signed on as one of their pros.

Chris Ferguson is a poker player that most opponents consider deadly for his mathematical calculations and ability to read other players. He has won several WSOP bracelets and continues to amaze his fans. He was already playing poker as a preteen and eventually decided that this was the path for him. He has won several million dollars during his pro career. He plays as a pro for Full Tilt Poker which is another one of the biggest online poker sites.

Jennifer Harman was born in Nevada and has been playing poker since the age of 8. In 2000 she won her first WSOP bracelet playing No Limit Deuce to seven lowball. What makes her win even more spectacular is the fact that she had never played this game before and was tutored beforehand by Howard Lederer. Currently she is the only female pro that holds more than one WSOP bracelet for open events. She is well liked and respected from other poker pros. She is also a part of the Full Tilt Poker pro crew.

Phil Ivey is a force to be reckoned with. Phil got his start in Atlantic City and it didn't take long for him to win his first 3 WSOP titles at the age of 23. He has now accumulated a total of 7 bracelets in the World Series of Poker and has made the final table 8 times. With tournament winnings exceeding $12,800,000, Ivey was recently listed as 1st in the world among all-time money winners.
